34th Ave
"Something for everyone"
This area has so many stores that just walking this stretch of 10 blocks you'll pretty much get all the things you need for daily living. You have the carpet stores next to the shoe store next to the cell phone store and hardware store. Want to get a cold soda? there's the local candy and stationary store too, there's a few fruit stands and in the warm season you can get hot dogs and roasted peanuts on the street vendors. This area is filled with Apartment complex, always packed with people walking on the street. The drive can be slow at time since, you have to avoid people that just like to walk across the street all the time and jammed with cars that slow you down. At night there's little dance clubs and bars as well. It helps if you speak Spanish here or Indian, Since most of the store owners or people that live here speaks Spanish or Indian. I wouldn't park any cars overnights around this area. One thing is that you'll never find a parking spot since the many apartment complex don't have parking. Even if you do find a parking spot you'll have to wake up early like 7am to move it for the street cleaning.

"Much more Residential than surrounding area"
34th Avenue is much residential than its surrounding area. There is a GREAT restaurant/bar on 33rd street which features martinis of the season which are WONDERFUL. It’s close enough to Broadway to walk over for all the great restaurants and nightlife. Broadway also has great grocery stores including a great health food store.
