"Small houses on large lots - rough in-city living"
We moved to Atlanta during the 1994 Olympics when it was nearly impossible to find a place to rent. We rented on Maple Street and it was a nightmare. While the yards are large, green, and spacious, and the houses are well built but small, the neighborhood is dangerous. The area is very close to Hartsfield Atlanta Airport. For travelers, this convenience may be worth the rough spots of living this close to Stewart Avenue. But there is a lot of crime, and the smell of the jets on their flight path over the neighborhood make it a less than pleasant place to live.
