Anderson Truck Trl, Alpine

Peutz Valley Road is on the western side of Alpine, just east of El Cajon. This is a lovely rural community and a beautiful route for biking. Mountain bike enthusiasts also enjoy off-road opportunities, such as Anderson Truck Trail. Glimpses of El Capitan Reservoir are enjoyed starting at the western end of Peutz Valley. Chocolate Summit rises to the North. High to the south one catches glimpses of the large, new homes developed in Alpine’s Victoria Drive neighborhood. The road itself winds through old oak trees and a stream which often is running. The 2003 Cedar Fire swept through this area, but few traces remain. Former Congressman Duncan Hunter Sr. has his home in Peutz Valley, his son (the current Congressman Duncan Hunter) and wife have resided at the same address.
