"Walk to MARTA from Apple Valley Road"
Living on Apple Valley Road is great if you need to use MARTA, the Atlanta mass transit system to get to work or school, since the Brookhaven-Oglethorpe stop is right there. It is not a particularly attractive street, since one side of the street is open to the fenced in MARTA parking lot. However, there's a small park at the beginning of the street and there are some modest apartment homes and single family structures on both sides of the street as you get away from the train stop. At some point, the road enters an industrial park area and there are warehouses and/or backs of stores and businesses lining both sides of the road, and it eventually dead ends into a storage facility. If you are able to buy or rent one of the apartments or homes at the beginning of this street, it would be a good location to live if you plan on commuting by train. Otherwise, there are better streets to consider. The one plus about this one is its proximity to the mass transit system.
