"Wonderful place to live"
Ashcombe Drive is a lovely street- It's a new community, has lovely neighbors, concerned and caring parents, fun children, nice looking homes, great little community. The best part is that everyone knows everyone else so all the kids grow up together, and b/c the whole community knows one another, we all take part in raising our children, we all take responsibility.
Amazing community. Absolutely love it.
The only negative I would mention is that this lovely newly constructed community is only blocks away from a trailer park. That's the only negative. If that wasn't there, this would be Nirvana.
The community is diverse- There are a lot of families, young people in their 20's as well as some retirees. I haven't seen to many single people w/homes here, in fact, I've seen none. For the most part, this is a place for couples which turn into familes, huge ones, quickly.
Most of the community is White- although there are more and more minorites moving in which brings a lovely blend of diversity. The largest minority population are Afro-Americans w/about 5 or so familes followed by Hispanics w/less familes. I have not seen any Asian familes yet, which doesn't mean they don't exist, I just haven't seen any yet.
I think Ashcombe will continue to diversity due to the increasing difficulty to secure homes in the surrounding areas of Dover like the Philadelphia/Delaware/DC Metro Area. Because the homes are very affordable in Dover, many more familes are moving here which traditionally wasn't the case.
Hopefully, we can become one of the most diverse populations in the Country some day.
