Atlantic Ave
"big and busy"
Atlantic is big. Atlantic is busy. Atlantic is fairly noisy and always in motion. While I quite like the array of choices offered- you have every kind of restaurant you could want, as well as a decent array of nightlife options, I can't help but feeling that Long Beach itself is better represented in the smaller, off-the-beaten-path neighborhoods. Try some of the smaller streets if you want a real feel for the city. If you're new to the area though, and just need a place where you're guaranteed to be able to find what you need, Atlantic will be able to offer whatever you're looking for.

Atlantic Ave
"Top street to visit in Long Beach, CA"
Atlantic Avenue is another good hub of entertainment and leisure in Long Beach. Next to Long Beach Boulevard, they offer the next best wealth of entertainment. There are many good restaurants that you could try, and then head over to the great theatre they have. There are also more mom and pop shops on this street than Long Beach Boulevard.

"Atlantic is Active!"
Without question, one of our top 4 major arteries, Atlantic Avenue is an essential component of city life here in Long Beach. Extending the entire length of the city and beyond, traffic seems to naturally gravitate toward its wide expanse and attractions. Atlantic is predominantly clean and uncluttered and boasts a variety of community districts and zones. As you would expect from such a major roadway, Atlantic is the home of countless commercial offices and apartment complexes as well as numerous strip malls, schools, libraries, restaurants, hotels gas stations and a cheif entrance to Memorial and Miller's Children's Hospitals. The Feel and atmosphere is utterly Long Beach and representative of many aspects of the city, also public transportation is ample. My pick for best kept secret on Atlantic would be the little burger shack in the gas station parking lot (corner of wardlow) ...probably the biggest burgers in town!
