"The peaceful island just a ferry ride away from Seattle"
Bainbridge Island is a peaceful thirty minute ferry ride from downtown Seattle. Taking the ferry is simple and easy and many people use the ferry to commute to Seattle every day. Bainbridge Island has the advantage of being near a big city combined with all the natural wonder of living on a rural island. The island is beautiful and scenic with lovely views of the water and downtown Seattle. The shops and restaurants are wonderful and strolling through downtown is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. There are also many beautiful spots to hike, to bike and to observe the local wildlife. The people go out of their way to be friendly and there seem to be a lot of housing options.
