"Literally an Old Folk's Home"
Sherman Village is an area of what used to be North Hollywood and is now Valley Village just to the east of Sherman Oaks. It is known for its nice apartments and the nursing home bearing the same same name. It is a very nice area with good homes. North Hollywood High School also technically falls within the jurisdiction of Sherman Village. North Hollywood High is a solid school but not great. It tends to do better on English than in Math and it is known for its many experienced teachers
It is centered around the intersection of Laurel Canyon and Chandler with not wholly definite borders. Except for having a higher population of older folks because of the nursing home and medical center inside of its borders it is much like Valley Village as a whole.
