"Crowded Downtown, Decent Everywhere Else"
Bryant street is a decent spot in downtown Palo Alto - but it is just as crowded, just as difficult to park, without the benefit of the great restaurants of University Place and Hamilton Avenue. The UPS store might as well be useless, as it is impossible to find parking close enough to allow you to ship something heavy.
Southeast of University Avenue, Bryant Street turns back into a reasonable, suburban street much like the rest of the town. It is a lovely, leafy green street with large (however contained and close together) homes, like the rest of the town. The houses are expensive but nice, and the desirable Palo Alto address contributes to the price of real estate. Relative accessibility to downtown Palo Alto is a huge plus - just don't live right off of University (which is pretty much a good rule of thumb for the town in general).
