Is Calumet Heights in Chicago a safe neighborhood?

I'm going to say that Calumet Heights is above average as far as safety goes. It may not be as upscale as some neighborhoods, but if feels like a place where you can go for a walk and not be bothered, which is a big indicator for safety in my book.
