Carroll Ave
"Carrol Avenue Homes"
I grew up going to the tours of these what I thought to be mansions of my childhood, you see my great grandparents lived here and my great aunt & uncle bought it from my great grandmother and lived here until my uncles death this year. I have very fond memories fo sitting on the front porch with my Aunt Ruby and sitting in the front parlor my my Uncle Charles. These houses are amazing inside. I remember being in another house on the street climbing a winding staircase so narrow but the house was beautiful and you could smell the scent of old wood in the houses. Such a far cry from the track home I live in now. My great-grandmothers house was very unique as it had a butlers pantry inside the dinning room with a window that opened up to the kitchen and I think there was even a dumb waiter that went upstairs. It has been many years since I have been there but I know my entire family has fond memories of visiting there.Several family members were even married there by my Uncle Charles who was a minister I think at the Angeles Temple many years ago.

Carroll Ave
"Beautiful and enchanting"
The street is so nice and enchanting, I feel like staying here for long. I just cant get words to describe how the place is, all I can say is “you never feel like going back”. The best part of this street are its mansions and houses which are spacious and huge. I stayed as a paying guest for few days more than a month. There is greenery in every residential area and where the market area is concerned, purely concrete. Only buildings and stores can be seen. The street is clear without heavy traffic. The Dodger stadium is just a short drive from this street.

"Los Angeles Historic District Designation"
Carroll Avenue is in the Angelino Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles. The street was developed in the late 1880's. Nearly every house on the 1300 and 1400 block of Carroll Avenue is a Victorian design.
The signature home on the street is 1300 Carroll. The home was built in 1889 by the Phillips family and was purchased by the Morales family in the 1930's.

Sounds like an amazing street! Would love to see a video of the Victorian homes? Any chance you can upload one?

Why didn't you mention that Dodger stadium is close by? Not that it matters because the Dodgers suck!! :)
