"A small loud city (with no parking) within a big loud city"
Carver Loop is basically a cul-de-sac type street on the north side of Co-op City (meaning it has only one cross street which is Co-op City Blvd.). It's close to the parking garage and the high school, Harry Truman. Co-op City is a privately owned high rise residential housing and retail complex. There's a mall with a movie theatre (Bay Plaza), several banks, schools, supermarkets and they even have their own cab service--which comes in handy because any cab driver from outside the area doesn't know where they're going in Co-op. With that said, the area is loud and rowdy, LOTS of kids/teens and they don't know when to go home. No train service nearby, oh and the piece-de-resistance...NO PARKING! Parking is a nightmare everywhere in Co-Op City and Carver Loop is NO exception. I try to steer clear as often as possible.
