Cavalcade St, Kashmere Gardens

Cavalcade Street is a Major Highway that runs through a large suburban area in Central Houston. Many residents who live in this area use this four lane highway to reach the bustling downtown area, and the unique neighborhood of Kashmere Gardens. An upper middle class area whose ethnic background is mainly African Americans. They have resided in this area for almost one hundred years. When you are not surrounded by the suburbs while traveling down this street, most of the landscape varies between industrial and farming places of business. You will not find shopping centers, fast food restaurants, and markets in this area. Some of the areas you travel through appear run down but overall its a well traveled road in Houston, Texas.
