"Great views, great parks, great homes"
We have some friends who live in this area and it has some definite benefits as well as drawbacks. Some of the homes that back up to the lakes have great views and are big beautiful homes, many going in the several million dollar range. There are also less expensive homes in the neighborhood and they are all nice and the neighborhood is well kept. Aspen Grove shopping center is within the border and is just along Santa Fe Drive. There are numerous shops and restaurants here, making it's location very convenient for residents. One drawback to the neighborhood butting up against Santa Fe is that in some areas it looks dirty to me and just not friendly. As there are railroad tracks that run alongside Santa Fe this probably doesn't help for making this part of the area look nice and clean. This is much different than how it is within the neighborhood though. The only other drawback is this section of 470 gets really backed up during rush hour.
The benefits of this area are that there are some nice, pretty homes which are very nicely kept up. The proximity to 470 makes for an easy drive west up to the foothills and into the mountains. Within the neighborhood there are numerous lakes and ponds which give this busy area a calming effect. For residents living here with children, the schools are all good and rate above average on state standardized tests.
