"The Main Artery Up Red Hill"
This is a relatively long road that goes almost all the way up to Grizzly Peak Blvd. (It actually ends a little ways short of this but if you take a left when you come to Las Piedras you can finish getting there.)
It is a long windy road that everyone who lives on this hill uses to get to their homes and that byciclists often use on the weekends to get down into town form Berkeley. It is not the best place if you are a pedestrian because the cars zoom up this road with a certain disregard to safety. There are many hidden driveways and blind curves and the road is so narrow that occasionally buses and trucks will get stuck. (Especially if they come across eachother--there simply isn't enough room for a regular sized school bus and a big rig to go by eachother and they have been know to get stuck trying.)
There is a nice mix of houses, many worth over a million dollars while some are slightly below this amount. There are large mansion like houses though many are dificult to spot because you only make out the tops of their driveways.
Overall it is a nice neighborhood though the traffic makes this particular street one of the less appealing parts in the area.
