It is not uncommon to see a Cox Cable truck on this street bi-weekly, I started having cable modem issues after living here for 6 months. For about 2 hours out of the day I get 50% packet lose. The rest of the time it works fine, and I get 10 Megs Down.
My Cingular now at&t cell phone, cuts out rarely but rarely shouldn't happen at all. IMO
My roommates had sprint and their phone only worked outside of the house.
There is a good amount of children playing in the street, including basketball games, bike riding and horse playing.
There is a mini-park including sitting bench, dog clean up bags and trash can, and a large park both with walking in a short walk, includes basketball court, 2 baseball fields, sidewalk trail, stairs, pool, and play ground.
We have active runners, dog walkers and dog runners in the area, The area includes unlocked gated access to other streets for foot traffic.
When walking down the street it is not uncommon to have dogs braking at you from their backyards. A sidewalk is only on one side of the street. The street is wide enough for street side parking and duel lane driving.
Yard maintained is required, enforced and is expected to be done "correctly" (to my personal disliking), All public landscape areas are well maintained.
Chaucer is by the semi-busy road of Hualapai which produces traffic noise however this hasn't really been a problem for me at all even with my bedroom being the closet room in the house to Hualapai.
The house I am living in had some what shady workman ship, including upside down outlets, carpet not installed correctly (i am assuming that the same works worked to build all the houses), and features some very nice things, such as a hot-cold water pipe control center, where you can shut on/off the hot/cold water to the given wet rooms.
There are some neighbors that have large party I would say in total I notice about 4 a year, the latest one being for some big boxing fight. I personally really enjoy the idea of people having party and the additional parked cars are never a problem due to the wideness of the street.
