"Beautiful, Elegant, Charming, and Beyond"
I grew up in The Highlands and currently live on Cherokee Rd. It's amazing! Many of the blocks run parallel to Bardstown Rd / Baxter Ave, so you can walk to any number of restaurants, pubs, boutiques, grocery stores, you name it! The other blocks of Cherokee Rd are right along the edge of Cherokee Park and demand a bit higher of a price tag. Either way you will see old, stately homes (many Victorians), large mature trees, a number of small parks, as well as easy access to Cherokee Park, the 400+ acre beauty that was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted (central park in nyc, and many others). This is a dream street in The Highlands!
Pros
- Close to Cherokee Park
- Close to Bardstown Rd / Baxter Ave corridor
- Amazing homes and great property value
Cons
- Parking can be tricky during special events if you don't have a driveway
