"Chick Hearn gets his due"
Wow has this little nook come a long way in the last few years! It used to be nothing, literally, and now its the core of the rejuvenated spirit and commercial life in downtown LA. There's a little something for everybody there, with families in mind the most, and it's pretty accessible too. I parked my car at the North Hollywood Metro Station and took it downtown. It was only about a 10 minute walk from there to get to Chick Hearn Ct. I've never felt so safe downtown, and so as a native Angeleno that definitely excites me. The Police and Fire Departments are everpresent in that area, and Laker Love is at an all-time high. Go Lakers!

"The place to go in downtown."
LA Live on the one side and staples on the other. plenty of restaurants the great plaza at the nokia center this is the place to hang out and visit in downtown. not quite times square. Great place for children and families very safe but can get very noisy during laker games. however parking is a hassle and very expensive and there is no public transport reliable to take you there so be prepared to shell out at least 15 dollars in parking....
