Is Clinton (Hells Kitchen) in New York City a good place to live for singles?

Egads, no! It's not called Hell's Kitchen for nothing. It's really ugly and there is no neighborhood vibe. No neighborhood vibe means no locals hanging out at the bars. It's too close to tourist central so the bars and restaurants are all catered to that demographic. It's a really depressing part of town, actually. Most people that live there go downtown into the West, East and Greenwich Villages to hang out.
