"Close to Broadway bars and restaurants but too expensive for the size!"
My boyfriend and I lived in an apartment on Clinton street off of Whipple. It was SO TINY!! We were paying nearly $1000.00 for a studio, ridiculous!!! I know it's the Bay Area but the neighborhood isn;t the best. I was never in fear for my life, never heard any shots or anything crazy like that but the people are just not too friendly. Across th street from us was a three story apartment building that just dosen't belong in that area. Redwood City is beautiful but some of teh characters coming in and out of that building were a bit too odd for me.
The best thing about Clinton is the proximity to Broadway (bars, restaurants, movies, Fox theatre, all that good stuff). It was nice being able just to walk so both my boyfriend and I could relax and get a couple of drinks and not have to worry about who's going to be the DD :P
Overall is wasn't too bad a place to be for just a year :)

Clinton St
"Do not Visit"
This street as i recall it was not somewhere the locals or anyone really wanted to be it was always considered a "bad" neighborhood while i was living there. IT was always rough and one of those places as a kid you always wanted to see but your mother told you to stay away from. Unless you know where you going and what your getting yourself into don't bother going here.
