"Not all that impressive, but not bad"
The College Hill area is pretty self-explainitory.
The neighborhood sits in between the University of Tennessee and several community colleges, so it's pretty overrun by college students. However, it's not a particularly popular place for UT students. Or I should say that it's not as coveted as many other student-housing locations.
The location is, however, quite ideal. It has easy access to the Interstate, Broadway, Middlebrook Pike, Western Avenue, and is only a short drive from Kingston Pike, the University of Tennessee campus, and the Fort Sanders area.
In many ways, it's the ideal location for a young person living in Knoxville.
There are several apartment complexes which have been around for years, and unlike the other areas of town catering to college students, this area has remained generally the same, with the same few complexes.
It's close to the Beaumont neighborhood, which is a completely different vibe and demographic than College Hill, though I've never seen any signs that suggest there's a clash between these neighboring areas.
It's not a bad place, but you can find more for your money elsewhere.

"The Name Says it All"
Well, you can judge this neighborhood by it's name. It is just as it claims to be. Very close to not only the U.T. campus, but Knoxville College as well. There are some historic homes in the area, most of which are rented to college students, and there are quite a few apartment complexes. Close to everything a student could want and all in walking and biking distance. While you are close to campus, you are close to downtown as well, which is great for the nightlife. The neighborhoods offers great shops, restaurants, bookstores, nightlife, and of course, a short transit to campus. The cost can be a bit high as the area is in such high demand by those wanting to live off campus, but close to it. Being so close to downtown and the two college campuses can make the area busy at different times of the day and at night and on weekends, not to mention during basketball and especially football game days. Along with the busy times, and constant flow of traffic comes noise. The students don't seem to mind, I guess that's kind of part of college life and the whole college experience. So, if you are a student or a young, single person, College Hill could be just your cup of tea.

"College Hill: A Paradise For University Of Tennessee Students"
The College Hill neighborhood is s paradise for students at the University of Tennessee. In fact, the apartments located within the neighborhood of College Hill just happen to be some the best within the Knoxville area and are always in high demand no matter what semester the University of Tennessee might be in.
The majority of the homes within this neighborhood are historic homes that date back over a hundred years, which only add to the characteristic of this budding community. These homes have been getting new face lifts and the renovations are restoring the architectural designs to reestablish them as they once stood over a hundred years ago. In addition to these historical homes, the College Hill neighborhood also offers some newly build apartments, which are always in high demand.
College Hill is a great neighborhood for college students since it is a walkable neighborhood that offers easy access to all the necessities any college student might need and is nearby the University of Tennessee campus. Within walking distance is some of the best night life, restaurants, grocery stores, convenient stores, tanning salons, shops, parks, recreation, and so much more.
For the individual just leaving home to start out in life, College Hill is the perfect neighborhood to begin their life on their own. This area is a highly marketable area, which means housing is not cheap, but it well worth the price and the security in which it offers. With college life being close by, it does tend to be quite noisy and over crowded during Tennessee Football Season, but college life is like that at times. This neighborhood seems to have been designed with college students in mind as it offers easy walking and bicycle access to anywhere on the University of Tennessee campus.

"As the name implies..."
College Hill is aimed at college students. It offers close proximity to UT campus and all the necessities of college life. Some of these include shopping, restaurants, night life, and of course good coffee shops. The homes in this area are older homes, some have stood for close to a century. This just adds to the wonderful architecture, most of which has come alive again through renovation. The area also offers apartments for college students. This area is good for college students tasting life on their own, some going in on a house together, others buying their own house.
The area offers great proximity, but this does come with a slight price. With the closeness, the area can be noisy, and become crowded during rush hour. The college life here is wonderful, but may not provide the best education for smaller children. The aim of this neighborhood is definitely at college students. It offers a great location for biking or walking to campus, good shops and great neighbors. The name College Hill implies the majority of this neighborhood, it may not be the best fit for reitirees or families.
