"Gross"
Why this street is named Commercial Street is beyond me - not only does it feature zero true commercial buildings, but it would probably be the last street I would consider featuring if tasked with the job of creating a commercial for San Jose.
While it is technically in the North Valley, Commercial Street feels more East San Jose, in the sense that it is run-down and overpopulated. However, the biggest drawback is the massive junkyard - I kid you not - at the corner of Commercial and Berryessa. The Pick-n-Pull appears to be a commercial (okay, maybe that's where the name comes from) junkyard store where people can get bottom-of-the barrel used car parts. Overall, the whole feel of the area is gross and dirty.
As if that's not enough, proximity to the 101/880 junction makes this a massively crowded, high-traffic area, even on weekends. Yuck.
