"A classic, more affordable family neighborhood in eastern Boulder"
I personally have never heard of this neighborhood being referred to as Country Club, this is the neighborhood that straddles Foothills Highway down near Baseline Road. There is an arching walking/biking path that goes over the highway uniting the neighborhood.
The homes and streets really are hard to get to, or at least major roads don't lead into the neighborhood unless you try to get in there. I have biked through otherwise I don't think I have ever driven there even though I have lived in Boulder 20 years.
The homes are nice and normal and I mean this as a compliment, the homes are older but well kept and the yards are not small. A great thing about the area is that Manhattan Middle School is very close by, I think Manhattan is possibly the best school in the county.
Homes are not the most expensive but it is Boulder so their are not affordable either, considering the buyers market environment in 2012 this neighborhood is well worth checking out for those just moving to town or looking to move their family to a truly family oriented neighborhood. The university is only a few miles west but you wouldn't know it here, it is a very quiet and safe place in Boulder...tucked away in a sweet spot.

"Large Lots and and Easy Access"
Country Club is somewhat of a hidden Gem in Boulder. It tends to have larger lots and very easy access to Foothills if you want to head out of town for skiing, go to Denver, etc. With the pedestrian bike path across across Foothills and easy access to Centennial Trail the neighborhood is only a bike ride away from Pearl Street for great dining. Flat Irons Health Club and East Boulder Rec Center are also very close by. The homes in this area were mostly built in the late 50's and 60's so many tend to be dated, but people are starting to come in and remodel and upgrade the area. I think it is actually somewhat of a hidden gem.
Pros
- Large Lots
- Easy Access
- Quiet Streets
Cons
- Little Inconsistent
- Little away from the Boulder Hub
