Are there any fifties-style diners in Denver?

Or any restaurants that serve "soul food," stick-to-your-ribs style entrees?

If you want a diner that was actually open in the '50's, check out the Denver Diner at Colfax and Speer. It's been there forever!

Ohh! You have to go to Davies Chuckwagon Diner on West Colfax. It's technically in Lakewood but its been there since 1957 and its on the National Register of Historic Places. It's a vision in stainless steel!

Just a little outside of Denver (but in the metro area) there is another Gunther Toody's in Northglenn off of 104th, just west of I-25. Also not quite in Denver is Rosie's Diner in Aurora at the corner of I-225 and Iliff Avenue. It's been there for a long time and is always good.

The 2 fifties-style Diners that I know of are Johnny Rockets inside Cherry Creek Mall and Gunther Toodys which is Alameda Just past the Leetsdale intersection.
