September in Denver is usually a great time of year. It's finally starting to cool off although we can still have hot, sunny days. The nights can get downright cold at times. If you're planning a trip to the high country, you'll see beautiful colors on the trees as they are starting to change from greens to reds, yellows and oranges. But know that you may also encounter snow depending on how high you go - so be prepared.

It can be unpredictable! One day it might be hot, while the next it could be snowing or sleeting. The leaves are beginning to change. There's usually snow in the mountains by then. Always wear layers during Colorado's autumn months! Tank top, long sleeve shirt, sweater, and coat - take them on and off as needed. :)

September in Denver is gorgeous! Not too hot during the day (high 70's) and not too cold at night (mid-to-upper 40's). If you like grilling & entertaining outdoors (like I do), buy a patio heater so you can sit out on the back porch, enjoy a glass of wine while listening to the aspen leafs twinkle in the slight breeze as you breathe in that clean rocky mountain air as it sweeps down the foothills just West of town.
