"High quality living close to downtown"
Arlington is the first suburb after Cambridge. 6 miles from downtown Cambridge, 8-9 to downtown Boston, it has the feel of suburban living but is really close to all the action. The bus to the Alewife T-Stop passes by every 20 minutes at the end of the street so public transportation is easy. The Minuteman bike path is about 3/4 miles from the street and is a great place to have fun and exercise. There are great restaurants in Arlington center about 1 mile from the street. No clubs or pubs though although a couple of the restaurants have a bar area. The primary school is top notch although the highschool and middleschool are only average. Cost of housing is high but resale values are good. All in all a great place for families or couples thinking of starting one and who also want to be close enough to town so that going out can still be spontaneous and quick.
