East 400 South
"This is the Night Life"
400 South is the place to be! Trolley Square, a popular place to visit, is located along this street and has great places to shop and eat. You can find anything from fast food to more 'happening' places like Hard Rock Cafe. Since this is down town, there are a lot of homeless people in the area, particularly in the evenings, so would be advisable to not wander around by yourself in the evenings.

"This is the place to be in Salt Lake, night or day."
400 South is a great place to find anything to do. Shopping, eating, restaurants, movies, etc. From historic Trolley Square to the Trax line the runs up 400 S, there are so many things to keep you busy. Trolley Square, on 400 S, has well known retails shops such as JMR, The Pottery Barn, and popular restaurants like Hard Rock cafe. It is a rockin' place.

"Nice Place for Eating, Shoping, and Entertainment."
400 South is a great place to get a feeling for the Salt Lake Community. The State of the Art Library is a wonderful place to participate in community events. Also the City Building hosts several festivals throughout the year. There are many fast food shops and sit down diners along the road. There are a few pubs and two nice coffee shops. The road also has a Smith's Market Place which sells everything from groceries and apparel to home furnishings. There are plenty of office supply stores as well. Trax, the local train system, runs along 4th South and offers several stops. There is a really great Spa across the street from Smiths. The spa offers affordable, and in my opinion terrific, yoga classes. There are a lot of homeless people that spend a lot of time on 400 S. At night time you are likely to be approached by someone asking for money.
