Further East, Slauson Boulevard is home to the lower income inner city, however, move west, and you will find a host of ethnic eateries, established neighborhoods and retail , as well as commercial establishments. Slauson Boulevard is home to the original Magic Johnson 24 Hour Fitness, and the Fox Hills Mall located in Fox Hills, Ca.

Slauson Boulevard has managed to maintain it's character over the years, and remains one of the only streets in Los Angeles that I would frequent on a regular basis.

LACMTA blue line station is the best way to get to Slauson avenue. This street is famous for restaurants specializing in Mexican and other oriental cuisines. It is a major street running between Santa Fe road and Jefferson avenue. The street gives a vibe of Latin American intermixed cultures and traditions. Many of the American features, may it be food or wears, have some essence of Latin style in them. My best dining experience was at Ozzies restaurant and not to forget shopping, you get it all at Von's shopping center. The place is quite cool and friendly.
