Eastern Ave
"Busy City Avenue"
Eastern Avenue, through Baltimore City, is a very busy and congested road. You can easily get to Hopkins Bayview and Patterson Park via Eastern Avenue, but I'm not a fan of driving on this road.
Eastern Ave
"An east-west tour of Baltimore"
Eastern Avenue is quite a diverse street. Closer to the harborfront, you will be sure to see a tour trolley pass you by. But as you travel east, the pavement gets worse and is in terrible shape, especially when the road opens up from a 2-lane street to the 4-lane highway. There are various shops, clubs, and restaurants that line the street as the neighborhoods go from good to average. I have used the street to escape the $2.00 toll at the McHenry tunnel, but that's not such a good idea. The lights are not synchronized and are too close together. It will take you forever. Eastern Avenue is nice to walk but you might want to have a friend walk with you the further east you go.

Eastern Ave
"Eastern Avenue baltimore Maryland"
Eastern avenue is a highly congested road in south Baltimore. Eastern avenue is the southern border of one of the largest parks in all of the city. This is truly a magnificent park. If you have kids i would highly suggest bringing them here this park has a little of everything basketball courts tennis courts baseball and softball fields. as well as plenty of open space for kids to run around and have fun this street is in a great neighborhood.

Eastern Ave
"Major East/West artery full of life"
Eastern Ave cuts through the South-Eastern quadrant of the city and is a major traffic through-way and central to commerce in the area. Near the historic Fell's Point area, it's a touristy boutique-style shopping hub with constant pedestrian activity. As you progress East, the avenue gradually becomes less walkable and more industrial/commercial. There are plenty of trendy bars and restaurants to occupy a young crowd. Although I feel relatively safe here, I personally feel that the street is too crowded and not quite calm enough to live on. The parking is metered and usually hard to find an empty spot--suggest parking on a free side street.
