"Good shopping center, I hope you like traffic..."
Like much of Palo Alto, the Embarcadero sucks for traffic. It is clustered and chaotic, as it is the funnel to many residential streets and is a primary connector between Highway 101 and El Camino Real. I wouldn’t mind living here, as the homes are lovely and are a mere stone’s thrown from downtown. However, I would get a bike.
The shopping center offers some respite from the street, although the parking here can be just as clustered and chaotic as the traffic on the street itself. But with Trader Joe’s, CVS, Peet’s Coffee, an array of French Cafes, Mexican restaurants, and a fair smattering of shops, you may just never leave.
