"commercial area, not nice"

Erie St. is a mostly commercial area of offices and businesses near downtown San Francisco. The surrounding area is noisy and congested, with Van Ness and the Skyway running adjacent to Erie. It is not an especially nice or upscale area, but not dangerous. There is just not much reason to go here unless you had business on this street.
