Figueroa St
"Not bad during the day."
I like to go to a Starbucks on Fig and 7th. Right by their they have a huge underground shopping complex with a ton a restaurants. Their are always people and you can catch the metro red line right there. I also have no problem with internet access their either. The only issue I have is that everything in Downtown LA especially right their closes down at night which is sad because it's alive during the day and the only thing that is really alive at night their is LA Live and Staples and that's a bunch of lights and not really worth the time if you ask me. I guess the street use to be really bad, but I normally catch a bus around their at night and it's not that bad anymore. So my only complaint about this street is the curfew otherwise I would recommend it.

"A central street that was part of Route 66."
Figueroa St is very busy during the day and is full of film crews in the downtown L.A. area. There is always some filming happening on this street. I've stayed at the Marriott Hotel on Figueroa and 3rd St. There are just high rises and nothing to really do in that area since it's in the Financial District, but there are some great places to shop near Figueroa and 7th St. This street runs north and south through Los Angeles and goes all the way to Pasadena.
