Flat Shoals Rd Southeast, Georgia

Flat Shoals Road in Southeast Atlanta is an older and established community that still maintains some of its luster. Flat Shoals neighbors are friendly and many have known each other for years. There is some transition in the neighborhood, but not as much as in others that are relatively close by. The streets are clean with plenty of trees and foliage. The homes are nicely maintained, and there's a sense of neighborhood pride.

Recently, however, that has developed an undercurrent of illicit activity and a growing concern regarding crime. Gangs have begun to show up on the fringes of the community, and neighbors concerns are growing with this budding problem.

Still, on the surface, Flat Shoals remains a nice area, with decent schools and lots of modern conveniences.
