Where's the best movie theater in Fort Collins?
Any IMAX theaters up there?

Because I enjoy quirky, small businesses, I'd go with either the Cinema Saver or the Lyric Cinema Cafe. The Cinema Saver shows movies that have already run in the big theaters but haven't come out on DVD or blue-ray yet. The prices are 1/4 of what the big theaters charge, and from what I understand they usually have a good selection of kids' movies especially.
The Lyric Cinema Cafe offers a full menu, drinks, and comfortable couches to the customers who are watching movies. The films they show are usually indies or documentaries - movies that don't run in the big theaters. The cost is about the same as your average theater, but of course with the full menu.

I am definitely going to check out the Lyric Cinema Cafe, I wish we had one in Boulder!

In Old town, we have a twin theatre called The Lyric. They offer independent films, where you can select a couch or an older chair to lounge in. The Theatre is very small and fun to go to, pick up a slice of pie or a beer and go in an watch the show. Must check it out. A friend told me they offer cartoons in the mornings on weekends with all you can eat cereal!

The Cinemark on Timberline is good. If you are looking for something a little different they have a wonderful drive-in theater called Holiday Twin. They are about 8 dollars a person and show a double feature.

All the theaters offer a little different experience. If you don' t want a crowd Carmike 10 on Manhattan is good.

Fort Collins has an amazing drive-in theater called the Holiday Twin off of Overland. They show recent releases, but are only open during the summer once the weather gets nice.

Cinemark on Timberline and Harmony is great for those "blockbuster" movies that you must have great sound for. Good popcorn (a big one on my criteria list). Lot's of restaurants to walk to also. Cinema Saver is my second favorite (their popcorn is equally as awesome), and VERY affordable. Cinema Saver is also now an AMC movie theater, which have a frequent user card where you can accrue points towards discounted snack bar items or movie tickets. The card is good at all AMC movie theaters, nationwide.
