"Prime Location, close to Shopping Center"
It's a prime location, close to everywhere, you can get the fast food, restaurants, gas stations, shopping mall, park, groceries and hospital around the area. Take the bus or Samtrans even BART. The park just next to the street, including tennis court, basket ball, or you can Barbecue at this Gellert Park. Summer will be chill and fog at this location.

Is the fog in this area considered "Coastal Eddie" and are there a lot of churches in the vicinity?

not much churches in this street and the fog is unpredictable, usually after the sunny day, the day after will be foggy.
