Are there any good sporting good stores in Grand Junction?

Any that specialize in camping gear?

There are several. There is a Sports Authority and a Cabela's in the mall, as well as an REI off of North Avenue. Gene Taylor's Sporting Goods is a great place to get your winter ski and snowboard gear. And Summit Canyon Mountaineering is great for any camping or backpacking items you might need.
