"A combination of slummy and nice"
This street stretches from Park Ave West all the way down to North lake park. Its gotten worse over the years, about 30 percent of the houses are empty rentals, abandoned, foreclosed and not properly maintained. There are several spectacular homes here, one at the intersection of Hieneaman, and 1 near 3rd street intersection. Streets are gaggled by hoards of kids that clogg the roads, wont move and wont use sidewalks. They roam the streets around here trashing nice stuff, and the majority of them dont live here. Pavement is kept in good shape, some sidewalks are past due to be fixed, and the non existant curbs dont ever get replaced. Water is yukky here, get a softener if your smart or use your sistern water! Traffic is fast moving, and caution at traffic signs a laugh as they blow thru them. gun fire can be heard frequently, we have lots of druggies in the area, and a large population of sex offenders. Nothing close except lucy diner, good food, good pricing. No gas stations near, high schooli s 1.2 miles away, nice new school, but the persons who run it and the majority of the persons that go to it, well leave alot to be desired. This was a nice area 40 years ago, its not so great anymore...move south to safety.
