Huguenot
"The perfect residential neighborhood"
There are many choices of homes in Huguenot, from townhouses to many high end homes with a fairly good amount of land. Most homes in this area are of the newer variety and you will find many of these homes constructed from the 1990s on. However, there are some older homes in the area as well. Huguenot is a great residential neighborhood.
Good public schools are one of the highlights of the area as well as access to Staten Island’s only railway - available at the Huguenot SIRT station. For the golfing enthusiast, South Shore Country Club sits in this community and offers a park like feel to some homes directly surrounding the course.
Yes, a stray golf ball may drop in on rare occasions. However, the city parks department came to an agreement with the lease holders about placing virtually invisible netting in areas where it was a problem. Consequently, there is little chance of having a bad shot ending up in the pool (drink). Newer homes and the amities that come with them are available in Huguenot, and buying a home in this community makes for a solid investment and provides an excellent quality of life. This is a great place to raise a family.
