"Flagship Neighborhood of Jacksonville Texas is University Hills"
University Hills, which occupies a verdant rectangle of land bordered by Canada Street and O'Keefe Road, is a collection of architecturally unique custom homes built in the 70's and 80's. Visit it in the spring to fully appreciate the areas lovely creek, beautiful gardens and lawns. A flourishing neighborhood community and a highly desired place to be. Very few opportunities can still be found to make the scene, but it's a great place to buy a luxury home at a great value. It's a small town and the homes in this neighborhood would cost many thousands more in a bigger place. Small town feel with champagne living.
Pros
- 4.1% home appreciation thats been on the rise since 2010
- Cost of living is low, with access to affordable stores
- 60% of the occupied homes are the homeowners
Cons
- Majority of the homes were build in the early 80's
- Popularity brings mischief. You have to keep an eye out for each others property
- Two hour drive to Dallas, nearest Big City Life and major Airports
Recommended for
- Families with kids
- Retirees
