"Cute but noisy neighborhood"
This cute little street in Rolando is a nice family neighborhood. It has a good mix of older residents as well as families with younger children. However, this area is really close to SDSU and also has its share of noisy college kids and rowdy parties on the weekend. Being right of of College Avenue, sometimes there are some pretty quick cars that go flying down the street. There are no sidewalks, but that hasn't stopped me from walking up the the Vons shopping center 10 minutes away. There is a Julian Charter School site on the corner of Lorca and Tarragona but the patrons are usually pretty good about not parking in front of driveways or being too noisy and bothersome. There is also a church at the Corner of Lorca and they are always very friendly and helpful. Neighbors a great and very involved in the Neighborhood Watch program. Another thing to note is that the Fire Station is only a 1/2 mile away and can get a little noisy with the sirens but you get used to it after awhile. This is a good street for families to live on - it's close to parks, shops and restaurants and you can be assured that your neighbors will have your back.
