"Peaceful spot -- but not a lot of action"
Lived there for 13 years, right on 52nd and T, I miss it everyday. It's pretty peaceful, everyone mostly keeps to themselves but are friendly and welcoming. Not a good place if you're looking for nightlife, but the park and the salt marsh can be very fun. Overall, it's a lovely place if you're looking to settle down or get away from the noise of the city.

"Okay town with pros and cons"
Marine Park is a town on the water in Brooklyn. Many homes in Marine Park are attached. This is a predominately Italian neighborhood but recently has become more diverse in a good way. Schools in Marine Park are good. Kings plaza is very close by and there not much nightlife here. It is very expensive too! If your looking to buy your first home in Brooklyn I would say that Marine Park could be a good choice

- Far from NYC
- Congested
- Lack of nightlife

Marine Park
"Okay, but far from city life"
The population here is less than number of student that attended my state college, and the area is relatively calm, cool, and collected – as New York neighborhoods go. There is a pretty spacious park in the vicinity (the aptly named Marine Park), and in New York parks are to be treasured, and this one is relatively large and worth a look if you’re in the neighborhood. The neighborhood is populated by local delis and hardware stores – businesses that would be associated with residents rather than tourists. If you’re looking to be in the midst of the action, this is not your neighborhood – no trains even stop here, so you’d be finding yourself walking from neighboring ‘hoods everyday if you don’t have a car (and why would you want one in this city?).
