Which neighborhoods in Memphis are safe and good to live in if I want to buy a house there?

That's an open-ended question and depends on what you are looking for. Most of the "safe" neighborhoods are outside of the I-240 loop but nightlife is pretty much non-existent...nothing but chain stores and cookie cutter houses in the suburbs.
