Monitor St
"A very lovely street for families."
This street is a really nice place to live. I knew a couple who lived right across the street from the McGolrick Park. There is an elementary school on this street so it gets pretty busy in the mornings and afternoons. The park is nice in the summertime and there are some nice places to eat around here. It can be a little expensive to live here, but the location is amazing. It's only three subway stops to get to Manhattan.

"Be careful where you park."
Short and sweet. My car got broken into 5 times. The cops don't care. One time it happened 1:30 in the afternoon. Do not leave anything of value showing in your car, not even a GPS harness. Sometimes they just smash the window for no reason.

Monitor St
"A Living Street"
Monitor Street is not the most interesting street in the neighborhood, but it does have a lot to offer. Walking through, I was impressed by the overall feel of the street, and by the amount of people who were out on the weekend. I thought that it was a good place to look for a place to live, but wasn't chalked full of stores and businesses. Some may consider that a fault, but I thought it something good. Sometimes, when streets are too overrun with restaurants and stores, you can't really enjoy the street itself. It's my philosophy that some streets are meant to be walked on, while others are meant to be lived on. This is a living street.
