"Little something for all"
Ventura Blvd is one of my favorite thoroughways in L.A. It spans so far and wide, and literally has everything you could be looking for, whether its shopping, eating, movies, exercise, people-watching, etc. Its also great because it lies just on the other side of the "hill" with Hollywood being on the other side. Housing is a little pricey along the blvd, but the offshoot streets leave you with lots of safe and affordable options if you're looking to plant your seeds out here.

"Not Much Leads to a Lot"
Ventura definetly leads to plenty of other streets that lead to something better. Make much sense? Probably not. Anyway, there are a number of shops and good hang out places to go to. Ultrazone is also along the way so if you feel competitive feel free to stop by there.

"a great thoroughfare with a small town feel"
Ventura Blvd. is one of the main thoroughfares that runs through the San Fernando Valley. It has a lot of chain stores, such as Staples and Bed, Bath and Beyond, but that is not what makes it special. Ventura Blvd. manages to be this great mix of big chain stores and little boutique shops. In a way that is rare in Los Angeles, it really offers the best in walkable, diverse shopping. Unique shops such as Storyopolis, a children's bookstore and Art's Delicatessen, a world famous deli give the street a fun local flavor.
