Morris St
"One of the few streets in Philly I hated."
Morris is one of the few streets in Philly that I was so uncomfortable being on. I felt as though I had to watch my back every step of the way, and it was not a welcoming atmosphere. I wanted to leave as soon as I got there, and only ever visited when I had family obligations (I had a neighbor who lived on the street).
Some of the best advice I've ever been given about Philadelphia is to look at the streets around the one you want to know about. If it's bad, it's always bad in clusters. This street is NO exception. It used to be a nice neighborhood, but has since turned sour. Boarded up buildings make it eerie, and the proximity to the Roosevelt Expressway make it an easy spot to get away with anything.
I don't recommend living on this street. It's busy, dirty, noisy, and creepy. Crime? Yeah, it's there.
