North Capital of Texas Hwy
"Great for a scenic Sunday drive"
If you want to get a view of the natural beauty that Austin has to offer, a casual drive down 360 (also known as The Capital of Texas Highway) is sure to do the trick. Take some time on a weekend to drive from 183 North to 290 on the south side of Austin. Going on a weekday probably isn't a good idea, since you'll probably get stuck in traffic.

"A Good View of the Austin Hills"
This road is also called Loop 360, and it loops around Austin. For a scenic drive, I recommend driving north on the road off 183 during the day. You wind around the area with lovely views of the hills of Austin, and eventually you cross over the Colorado on the Percy V. Pennybacker, Jr. Bridge. Keep in mind, however, if you keep going on this highway, you drive a long way without any gas stations, so drive with a full tank of gas. I've also lost cell phone reception out there. But it's a great way to see the scenes around Austin.
