"Small Sleepy Street in the Heart of Residential Saint Paul"
N Griggs Street is a small portion of Griggs street in Saint Paul. The street is mainly residential, although it is divided by Interstate 94 and the commercial University Avenue. The feel of the streets is fairly safe, although you may want to think before going out at night, as is the case in most cities.
Because it is such a small street, its resources are limited. However, it connects to the vibrant Grand Avenue, home of great retail shops and fine dining. It is near several schools, such as the excellent parochial school Central Lutheran School. The most spectacular part of the street is Griggs park. Once a mediocre park with a marginal recreation center, the city decided to shut it down. The residents knew that the park would be over-run by gangs and drug use. So, in a brilliant community effort, the neighborhood reclaimed Griggs Park, cleaned and re-opened the recreation center, keeping the park a safe place to play for children.
