"Low-Key Mall"
When I visited Northgate Mall, it was not all that far off from being a ghost town. The place seemed quiet - almost deserted. It has the standard selection of shops that any middle-class mall would have - Macy's, Foot Locker, a movie theater, and several eateries. The food court is incredibly lame, even by mall food court standards, although, to be fair, they are adding several new takeout restaurants.
Considering it has its fair share of standard stores, the shopping, overall, is pretty sparse.
Given the location, the demographic is certainly a spread of upper-middle-class Terra Linda residents, and the more ethnically diverse crowd from downtown San Rafael. Parking is pretty much a non-issue and I found the customer service desk to be very friendly.
Overall, this mall is nothing terrible, but nothing to write home about. My GPS struggled a bit to find it.
