"Entrance into China Town"

NW 4th Ave. runs onway from South to North in downtown Portland. This street crosses NW Burnside Ave. through the Beautiful Chinese arch into Portland's own China Town. It is a sight to behold with the beautiful building but there is a large mixture of old run down buildings that the city is begining to renovate and bring China Town back to a beautiful neighborhood that it once was. This area has underground tunnels that connect many buildings to the water front of the Willimate River, known as the Shang Hai tunnels. Many of these have been closed off but some basements still have portions open.
