"My favorite street in Chapel Hill"
Nestled just between 15-501 and the neighborhood of the Chapel Hill Country Club, Oakwood Dr. is the perfect spot for anyone between the ages of 25-85. It's a beautiful, clean, green street with a park and tennis court at one end and two huge grass fields (maintained very well by the city due to the lots being in flood plains and hence non-developable) at the other. The fields are great for everything from playing with your pet to ultimate frisbee games. A lot of the houses on the street are being renovated - inside and out - making the neighborhood nicer and more valuable, and there are lots of families with younger children spread throughout - who you'll be sure to meet on any nice day. University Mall is right around the corner and it's 10 minutes from Southpoint Mall - one of the Triangle's biggest spots for shopping, dining, and entertainment. One of the biggest plusses for me is - depending on traffic - being 20 minutes from RDU airport.
